Family Photos

I LOVE this picture!!

Blowing wedding bubbles.
The girls were very tired by the time we left!
A couple weekends ago we went to a wedding. My brother Cody's best friend Ryan got married. Both my brother Cody, and my brother Kit's girlfriend were in the wedding. It was a fun time to have our whole family together. The girls loved playing in the flower garden/fountain outside the wedding reception. It was a really beautiful location. My mom or sister took these pictures and my sister gets credit for the fun words/editing. (I'm a little behind with updating the blog, but working on catching up!)

I have to share this story from the next morning. Grace, Faith, & I were eating breakfast (Jeremy was already at church) and Faith began taking off her pj top. It had a very wide neckline and she was very proud of herself that she was doing it herself. As she dismantled her ensemble Grace said, "Look, Mama its like Wesley's dress!" I died laughing. Wesley had been wearing a strapless bridesmaid dress. I feel like I could write a post daily of something funny Grace says these days. She is SO observant and I never know what she will come up with.

It's A . . .

Surprise! Well, today was the big day and we were so excited to see our baby kicking and moving with a strong heartbeat. Everyones constant question has been, "Are you finding out what you are having?" I finally told them Jeremy was deciding and he probably wouldn't decide until that day. And that is exactly what happened. The first question the ultra sound technician asked is if we wanted to know. Jeremy told her to see if she could tell and then ask us again. Well, she could tell, and seemed pretty confident. But, he held out and decided not to find out. I couldn't believe it. I know he wanted to know SO bad. He is such a great husband, I know the only reason he kept it a surprise is because he knows I love a surprise. While at that moment even I was tempted to give in and find out I'm excited to wait till the baby arrives in February. So, I guess this means we really are going to have to figure out a boy & girl name. Let the hunting and debating begin!

We decided not to take the girls with us, because it is a long time for them to sit still. Plus, I have still been a little more nervous with this pregnancy. But, we did have them make a video of the ultrasound for us to show them. We shared it with them at lunch today. This video isn't spectacular but it shows the girls watching. My favorite comment from Grace was, "Tell them to turn on the light, its too dark I can't see."

Curtis Orchard

On Saturday we had a great adventure, one Grace had been looking forward to all week. We got together with my college girlfriends for a fun day. While we were super disappointed Lindsay and Bethany and their kids didn't get to come, we had a lot of fun! Grace had been talking about picking apples constantly. We have never been to an orchard before. When we left early Saturday morning she was chatting about it with me and was very disappointed we were going to Abby's house first to eat. She declared that she wasn't hungry! But, I convinced her it would be very close to the orchard. She then decided she would just go out in the backyard and pick apples while we had lunch. (Nope, not that close!) She was trying to figure out who Abby was (she knows everyone by Sadie's mom, Hannah's mom, etc.) I was explaining that Abby didn't have children yet. She informed me she thought maybe she did and I just didn't know. (Nope no kiddos, but Grace loved the dog, so Abby is probably Lola's mom now!) I was so glad we go to go to Abby's house. It was super cute and she made us this delicious brunch. Faith LOVED the French Toast casserole. (maybe because in her sugar restricted world she thought it was like having dessert for breakfast) After brunch we headed to the Orchard.

I think Grace ate at least two whole apples while we were picking!
We had quite the crew with five kids and three strollers.
Faith also loved the orchard experience and proudly picked apples.
The closest thing I got to a group photo, Grace is still eating! Grace, Sadie, Hannah, & Faith

I was one exhausted pregnant Mama by the time we got in the car to go home. We didn't even do all the "extra" fun activities the orchard offered. But, the girls seemed okay with it considering the fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. Even though I was exhausted it was totally worth it to spend time with my girlfriends and see how much fun the girls had!
Grace & Sadie showing how big they are. I feel so blessed to have such awesome Christian girlfriends. It has definitely made me pray my girls will one day get to experience this type of friendship.
