West Africa- Part 1

Leaving on a Jet Plane..
I flew from St. Louis to Dallas, Texas where I met our team. We then flew to New York. Where we had lunch and waited to cross the ocean.

We arrived early Saturday morning in Brussels, Belgium with a layover to explore the city.
We took the train and checked out the sights, sounds, and smells, of Belgium.
We also were able to tour a historic church.

After another long flight and more airplane food we finally arrived in West Africa.
This is when we got off the plane on the runway and boarded a bus to be taken to the airport. Let the french speaking airport fun begin.

Titus' Big Boy Haircut

This was Titus' first official big boy haircut where I used the clippers. Previously I had always just trimmed things up with the scissors.

Keeping Him Busy
The Finished New Look
(after I got it done I was a little shocked by how short it was and how grown up it made him look!)

Girls Getaway

For Josie's bachelorette party we spent a weekend in one of our family's favorite places, Osage Beach. We've gone to the Lake of the Ozarks every summer our entire lives so it was the perfect spot to celebrate Josie's upcoming wedding. We were blessed to be able to stay in an awesome condo that belonged to our future sister-in-law, Wesley's,  family.

We spent Saturday at another new "favorite" the Spa Shiki. After massages, enjoying all the spa's amenities and drinking lots of room temperature water (inside joke) we were relaxed and pampered! That evening we went to eat on the water at Backwater Jack's.

We were excited mom was able to join us for the weekend.
Joy (Maid of Honor), Me (Matron of Honor), Josie, Wesley (Kit's Fiance) Erin (Cody's wife), & Regan (Bridesmaid)

We also had a practice run to help Josie figure out how she wanted her wedding hair. After two hours plus of curling she finally made it official- the hair would be down.
It was such a fun weekend!
