Titus-7 Months

This month has been so full of change for little man. He is on the move and getting into everything!! Its doesn't seem possible that we are already at the "baby proofing" stage but we definitely are. While he is still wearing his 12 mo. clothes I went ahead and pulled out a few 18 month things I had bought for next summer. I am guessing they won't fit next summer so I figured he could wear them now. And surprising they fit fine!
Anything Titus touches ends up in is mouth. He is picking up puffs and cheerios at mealtime. But, I have also already found lots of things in his diapers that should not have gone in his mouth like a plant leaf, piece of granola bar wrapper, etc.
See what I mean- he loved exploring Phoebe's water bowl at Gramy's house.
Titus has already tried a lot of different foods including peas, green beans, squash, sweet potato, nectarine, plum, apples, and oatmeal.
He loves chewing on his cup, and can drink a bit too.
Grace & Faith help feel baby brother. Love the teamwork (he likes to grab the spoon).
Titus' first big mess he knocked over a plant and got dirt everywhere. He is starting to rock on his knees but still prefers to army crawl. I am looking forward to him crawling because he gets his clothes super dirty dragging himself around everywhere (behind the couch, under the table, etc...)

At his 7 month checkup he weighed 23 lbs. 5 oz. and was 28 inches long. He is in the 95% percentile. We also found out that he had a double ear infection! This was a big surprise as he was just finally getting over the horrible virus the kids all had. But after an unpleasent 10 days of strong antibiotics his ears are now better.

Fun City Play Date

We enjoyed some end of the summer fun by doing a play date at Huck's Harbor at Fun City in Burlington, IA. We met Nana, Jessica, Carter, Ellie, Ami, Sofie, & Harrison. This was the perfect place because there is an outdoor and indoor water park. We started the day enjoying the sunshine outside, but then it started storming. In 2 minutes we were moved inside and the fun continued. We ordered a huge pizza for lunch and not long after the sun was back out. We did the lazy river twice. The second time Grace insisted on having her own tube and did not want me to help her at all. I even went down the little water slides SEVERAL times with the kids on my lap trying to convince them they could do it by themselves. (Thankfully there are no pictures of that...) By the end of the afternoon with the exception of Faith they were all going down alone and very proud.
Titus as always was happy to hang out.
Love this picture. Carter is splashing Grace and she isn't digging it. But, actually Grace and Carter got along great and had lots of fun playing together.
Titus enjoying his car floatie from Nana.
Faith & Ellie -I love how their swimsuits are coordinating.
Sofie was the brave one in the group- she even went down one of the big slides!
Grace "organizes"(read bosses) playtime. And no, we don't know these girls.
This picture doesn't due justice to how large this pizza is, it was literally as big as the table!
The whole gang enjoying pizza.
It was a great day and the kids enjoyed every minute. It worked out that we headed to Grandma & Grandpa's house on the way home so the girls could stay overnight. They came home with an entire bucket of rocks and lots of stories. I enjoyed a night of having just my "guys" all to myself. Jeremy and I went on a date and then played Scrabble. Which we used to do all the time when we lived at Rock River, but haven't done in forever. Before picking the girls up on Saturday we went to check out the 18 Wheeler Restaurant, a truck stop near us that was featured on the Food Network.

Girls Day Out

Mid-August I had the chance for a girls day out with my college girlfriends. I was so happy to get away. With all our new life circumstances I am very rarely away from our children. Titus, Macey, & Baby Downing did come along, but they were content most of the time. We started the day with a bit of shopping at Target. Stephanie and I both found crib sheets we liked. Her for her new baby and me for Titus (we are hoping to move him to the girls' room by January) Then we went to Chipotle for lunch. This is such a yummy place to eat. I was excited we ate there as I hadn't eaten at one since we lived near Rockford. After lunch we went to get pedicures at the beauty school. This was a great option since they worked on all 6 of us at once. We finished off the day with ice cream at Coldstone. I always love catching up with my girlfriends and it was nice to visit with them with a few less interruptions (a.k.a. Grace, Faith, Sadie, Kinnick, Hannah, Micah, Kylie, Belle, & London) We are growing into quite a big group had we all been together. It would have been the perfect day if Courtney, Rachel, Lindsey, & JoniKay could have come!
You girls are the best and I love each one of you!
