Backyard "Birthday" Camping

This is the second year we've done a night of fall backyard camping with our friends The Whetstones. Last year we did it to celebrate Faith & Wyatt turning four. This year we did our "birthday" camping a bit early since our October was insane this year!

This HUGE tent was Jeremy's growing up. I've heard so many stories about Old Blue it was pretty much famous. However Jeremy's description of it was a bit lacking....I knew it was canvas and was envisioning kind of like an event tent in army green. However, I agreed to try it camping one time (and then secretly figured I'd put a new modern tent on our Christmas list) However, I am happy to confess we LOVED it and adopted it quickly as our family's new memory maker. Which is much more "green" and thrifty anyway! It's most endearing quality is that it is huge. Jeremy's approximate quote, "We could adopt 10 children with this tent." Love at first sight.
We also met our play group for a night of star gazing. Although the starts were a bit lacking due to cloud cover.

That morning around the campfire Jeremy told me which little boy he thought God was choosing for our family. More about that later when I do a post updating you on our adoption journey.
