This month our local library hosted a SUPER fun event. Super Why, from the PBS Kids show "Super Readers" visited. The girls both love this show and highly anticipated the event. They got to see Super Why and listen to a few stories being read by the hostess from PBS. We also had the excitement of showing up on the local news. While we were waiting for Super Why to arrive (he was a little late) I pulled out some of our library books and began reading to my kiddos. My goal was to keep them occupied while they waited, but this was the perfect film clip while the woman at PBS explained the important of reading to your kids. While I wasn't trying to "get on the news" the girls thought this was a very fun bonus. There was a meet & greet photo op at the end, but as excited as they were they wouldn't get close. So, no great pictures....oh, well. I love taking advantage of free fun events like these!
