I Love VBS!

This year our church's theme for VBS was Big Apple Adventure. I taught 4th grade. Its been awhile since I've taught students that old and I truly enjoyed it. Our room was decorated like Battery Park. Jeremy cut down some small trees to help our room look & smell like a real park. He also helped out which I loved. He is my favorite person to team teach with, he is magnificent crowd control.
Our very own Staten Island Ferry
Our harbor w/ statue of liberty
Titus eating markers while I try and set up...he made teaching this year a bit of a challenge as he wanted to get into everything during my prep time.
One of my favorite things is that our church offers a meal every night. This is such a huge help!! After setting up we were able to eat a quick meal before VBS started.
My class performing at the closing program. I loved the music for this VBS.
The last night we had a carnival. Here are the girls at the photo booth with the "statue of liberty."
The kids in their "PBS" shirts. They kept getting confused and thinking it was called PBS instead of VBS (maybe we need to cut back on the public television?) The girls both loved VBS and I was amazed how much they learned each night. Titus LOVED dancing when he came with me to the closing program. He was quite the little entertainer and wanted to go up on the stage.
" So faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes from the message about Christ."
